ARKO NI NOAH

(Environmental Issue)

SUMMARY:

            The short documentary film entitled “Arko ni Noah” focuses on environmental problem including its outcome to the habitat and humanity, causes that make these occurrences and the upcoming possible upshots. The setting of this documentary is in the province of Nueva Ecija in a dry season. Focusing on global warming with a specified climate change as one of the most concerning effect of this.

            It is entitled Arko ni Noah, because the documentary team want us to be aware of our preparedness in the outcomes may come relative to the story in the Bible when Noah prepared the big arch and everyone think of him as crazy and everyone laugh at him and when the huge flood came, Noah let those animals in and they were saved during the phenomenon. They stated facts and opinions regarding the issue by interviewing people in the province hence people in a certain town come to think about it. The dry lands and areas were presented; the flashfloods and landslides were also presented. In the end, the documentary team is persuading us to make up change and be always prepared whatever may happen.

COMMENT:

            The short documentary film was prepared by students as an educational purpose. Well, it is so good to know about these school activities, it can really help a lot to the humanity especially those students who are engaging to this particular issue or topic. Environment concerning topic like this want us to realize that simple thing you can do is a great help to the environment and to the community such as proper throwing of garbage and taking care of the nature. We have to plant trees not just for our own sake yet it is for the next young generation who sincerely need our help. The documentary covers general aim and it is for our good sake. It is just a short and succinct but a very well said presentation that awakens us from sleep through the truth and the responsibility.

            We humans, it is the responsibility what we live for. Let’s just be aware of what is happening today. I therefore conclude, doing simple thing brings a big participation. Start or begin the change in yourself because we are the only one who can save humanity. We are the only one who can save the world.

FEEDBACK AND STAND OF THE ISSUE:

            This is a very concerning topic, good thing that this documentary team chooses this topic. It is so nice to know that young people can do like this to contribute not just for us but to the whole wide world. I came to think of it that may be everyone of us can do something like this. An amateur work but a professional output.

            As a student, I realize something after I watch the documentary. Something that begins in me. We need to change. Prepare for our safety. We cannot stop the effect of climate change. So, first thing to do, importantly we should be what Noah is. Because in simple preparedness can save life against those cruel disaster. We are the one who ruin the world, and we are only the one who can save it back.

PADYAK NA BAHAY

( Social Issue)

SUMMARY:

            Padyak na Bahay is a short documentary categorized under poverty. This is an amateur work concerning to the people living in a “Padyak”. The documentary group conducted an actual interview to the family living in the concerning place. A place where danger awaits them and an area where safety stay away from them.

            Children of this family have poor education. One out of four child experienced school yet until Grade four only. The mother and father are finding hard to what their children have to eat. During calamity, they stay in their “Padyak na Bahay”. This serve as there shelter rain or shine. The father stated about what their children should do since they are the children of poor family. They are just one of the million of Filipinos who strive for hunger. The documentary ended in a conclusion about poverty and who will solve for this problem.

COMMENT AND STAND OF THE ISSUE:

            This is really the obvious evidence how poor the Filipinos are. It lacks basic needs in order to survive. The government should focus on this very concerning social issue. We do not want that poverty defined our country. This documentary helps a lot to those people to point out to those government officials. To let them know about the happenings around them beside those luxuries they have. Instead of corruption, they should help those poor families. Give them a solution that can help them learn how to make up their life.

            My stand of the issue is; people should also learn how to get through poverty. They should also cooperate to the government programs that could help them in their problem. We should not be lazy. We have to strive hard for us to survive in a good way. Government should not corrupt the money of the people and turning it back to the one who needed it most.

FEEDBACK:

            Young group of documentarist did a good work. It contributes much to the community. It helps to the people for the officials to take an action. So good to know that the basis of the documentary is all about poverty which is a very concerning topic in the society.

            It touches my heart. During those actual interview I feel pity to them. They let the society to be aware of what our fellowmen situation really is. Only thing I could say is; put hardwork in every way. Nice job to the documentary team. The whole documentary rates a high value to the general society.
