Food
Scarcity
Food shortage is
the common problem what the world have been facing between countries. Official
says, poverty is given remedy and priority, yet Filipinos are still having
hunger problem. No, it’s not unusual; it is one of the famous and undying crises
until now. Who could be blamed with this social issue? Is it the “Juan tamad”
deficiency of the Filipinos or is it the government who doesn’t care at all? Calamities
and natural occurrences are also one of the factors why this food shortage
happened. Calamities that are damaging the crops, leaving it mess and
invaluable. Natural phenomenon that are causing food shortage, wherein law of
demand and law of supply apply. Low of supply and high of demand, a simple rule
in economics.
Every
Filipino should always be like a farmer who is eager to plant for them to
harvest in an exact time and a fisherman who never go back home without a fish
caught. Also, one thing to remember, “Do not give them fish rather teach them
how to fish” it is all about long lasting solution not a “one day millionaire”.
Food shortage, I think, this can be solved by the cooperation of; the diligence,
perseverance and industriousness of every Filipino citizen and the hardwork,
sincerity and honesty of the officials whom we put in position. More
importantly, we should take care of our environment, be always like Noah who is
prepared and value everything even little thing. No more, no less, a perfect combination
to resolve food shortage in an either way.
