Population multiplied into numerous pieces,

Death subtracts, life adds mere experiences,

See! How essential this Mathematics is.

Could you tell me the area of a triangle?

How to get the sides and the co terminal angle?

What is the circumference of a given circle?

Solve it, explore it, Mathematics know it all.

Multiplying two positive numbers remains positive,

Unlike signs when multiplied stay behind negative,

Yet negative times a negative, a plus sign was amused,

Retain this in mind or you’ll stay confused.

PEMDAS must be followed in correct orders,

To go through success in the selected matters,

Infinity lies on a set just like integers,

What the world could be without these numbers?

What about those odds?

What about those evens?

What about those number fanatics?

Improve yourself, that’s absolutely Mathematics!

Lots of rules and principles have been formulated,

Used to remedy problems that are complicated,

Never change constant values that was allotted,

Settle everything to be clear and get delighted.

When you comprehend how much you share,

To a person you ought to care,

When you count important and regular statistics,

Think up, that’s absolutely Mathematics !

How byzantine this life will be,

Imagining no mathematical formulas to see,

Solving problems and amidst life complexity,

Unlocked all answers in a mathematical key.

Oh! What I always wish is to remember,

Getting constantly wonted and get aware,

In which I wanted to learn along the other,

Although sometimes got failed, tried and tried – never surrender,

Let’s focus life not to stick with ancient reckoning,

Walk through in the eminence of revised calculating,

Find easier way and keep appreciating,

Mathematical concepts applied in daily living.

As clear as a cloud, the key to see,

The wanted progress and change, always will be,

Singing birds, dancing waters, the debt to pay,

Pursuing dreams, in a mathematical way.

What would change the world?

Give solutions and hit the apex,

Number works, just don’t speak a word,

Move up, move forward, that’s absolutely MATHEMATICS!

The Fruits of Illegal Logging

 Industry needs structural materials in improving and building architectures due to overly widespread of industrialization. These raw materials include sand, gravel and particularly timbers which is more essential in construction. Timbers are found in forests wherein large quantities of them are planted in remote land forests in the world more particularly in the Philippines. But the abundances of these timbers are now abused by illegal loggers without replanting trees. Illegal logging is defined as the harvest, transportation, purchase or sale of timber in violation of laws. The problem of illegal logging is now on high alert in the Philippines, because this became the major factor in flood devastation and relative catastrophes.

    Illegal logging in the Philippines has brought many effects and causal chain. The merciless cutting of trees lead to flashfloods that also causing casualties or killing of people and homeless families especially on those below sea level areas like Central Luzon, NCR and Bicol Region. Trees were cut, that’s why there is no absorption of water plus the clogging because of irresponsible throwing of garbage.

     One of the most critical events in the Philippines is the occurrence of landslides and mudslides in Northern Luzon and Mindanao. These are also caused by illegal logging due to mining. Government finds it complicated because of the death toll records and stills other missing are not yet found. Earthquakes and numbers of typhoons are coming every month yet people aren’t well-prepared. Effects are not so immediate; it takes time to taste the fruits of illegal logging. It might have an immediate effect like soil erosion that leads to clumsy land forms yet remote results are much more disastrous. Even though the typhoon is not that strong, the impact of destruction is quiet risky.  How much more when strong typhoons are coming at the same time?

     For years, illegal logging laws had been passed by the government led by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources yet apparently chronic illegal logging are still diffused all over the country. This must be placed in the lane of most serious crimes against to those affected ones.

      Illegal logging has always been the main contributor to any disaster. I can’t even find positive outcomes of this. We should learn our lesson from the occurrence of natural phenomena. This will serve as a wakeup call for us to realize that when we cut trees, we should have to replant it ten times the number of cut trees and it’s time for reforestation. This is for the preservation of our dear mother earth and for the safety of the next generation for them to not to taste the fruits of illegal logging.

Expressing Negative Things Without Being Offensive

            Naked eyes can always see something good or bad to any tangible things. It’s a sense of discovery to a something new to the person, thing, place or an event. Sometimes, what we see is what we say yet sometimes seem so offensive. What should be the right and appropriate words to say to avoid offending other people? Well, this is just more than necessary to keep being nice to someone. Here are some tips and suggestions to keep it that way.

             When we have a friend who is not blessed in brain powers, we can always say that, "there's no such dumb person that God has created, it is just by your own effort to work on for it, feel free to read necessary articles to feed and exercise your mind", your friend will get the feeling of positive realization towards your worth. Sometimes, saying by a joke is unnecessary because they knew that joking is half meant and true. You can't say that "hey, you ugly!", it's merely obvious offensive. Instead, you can say that "You're beautiful, because the real beauty is inside our hearts." We can always go with the flow, when someone is out of the trend, you can say that "you're style is very beautiful, it's unique and classy", and you can't dictate what style he/she really want to have.

             These things are just basic examples of expressing negative things without being offensive. But, these concepts can be applied to complicated one. These are just primarily  and commonly possessed by others. It's always better to be nice than being bitter because nobody's perfect, the naked eyes of others are just watching yours as well.

Simply JAY

                Have you been to an incident wherein someone seems to call your name then you said "yes" or acknowledged it by gestures or facial expressions, then the bad thing is, it is not you who's been called for? How does it feel? It sounds quiet funny yet you get the feeling of irritation, right? But, whether you like it or not, you have to accept with all of your heart that our names are also named  to other people either by just a coincidence or by intention. Well, if there is a person who has the same name as yours, put in mind that it may stands the same identity but it comes up with different meanings according to your personality and possessions.

               Our names are always speaking of who we are. Everyday, life is incomplete without our name being called. Others say, it is by destiny and some say it is by choice with a history. But, whatever it is, these distinct meanings were built by our own.

               I wonder why my parents named me Jay. I can't even find connections with their names (Maria Luz and Benjamin). I don't even get their point why they named me a three-letter combination, succinct yet mysterious. When I ask them about it, they just told me that they wanted a short name for me and forgot the whole thing what's behind it. But whatever reason they might say, i'm just so grateful that they named me so unique in the world that I've known.

               When you look for the definition of jay in the dictionary, you'll find that it is a noun which is a noisy European bird of the crow family with vivid plumage. Well, I can say that I am not that literally noisy person, I am the one who is "silence depends upon the mood and situation", adjusting unnecessary things and identifying elements to be eliminated imperfectly yet trying my best. My friends call me Jay, well, everybody calls me Jay and this name is mostly used by Americans influencing Filipinos. This is me, just simply Jay.

               I've been through experiences wherein my name comes a lot in common to other people. I'm used to it. It is widely used in a name combinations. This brings no problem in me, in fact, I feel so blessed having it, because every name that we have is a precious gift from above and I firmly believed that every name definitely named in you for a reason. It may be ill-defined to be understood now, but for sure someday you will.

Becoming a Successful Person is Courting a Woman You Love

               Becoming a successful person is like courting the woman you love. It needs ample of time to earn points and to prove you really deserve having it. Just like pursuing a woman, you have to prove her, she's worth your time. If you want to be successful, you have to be more responsible giving more effort just to grab it. You have to be hardworking, enthusiastic and loyal for everything you've done. I'm not saying, you have to be a perfect person. Giving your best is purely enough for every success is a comfort just like woman, she wants to feel comfortable having you.

               Sense of humor is also an important factor to become a successful one, you have to balance your life, your feelings and your attitude for life is a complicated one. As what courting acts like, you have to tickle the woman you love for she doesn't want to be bored. Sense of humor in a way that you don't look or feel like a clown, just being yourself is the best way either. To become a successful person, you need to have trust and faith in God for He drives everything like wooing a woman, trust and faith is a basic factor. It's not necessary to treat her as your God, because she might get spoiled.

                Becoming a successful person and  courting a woman comes up with great similarities. But whatever it is, contentment is the best way of life. Success of a lifetime is in relation with love of a lifetime and it is the same success as it was.

BUTANDING (Protect and Preserve)

              Like humans, sea animals have the right to live here on Earth. They have also contribution in the ecosystem just to make it balance. These animals made our world beautiful yet some people did not even realize it's worth, sad to say but true. These people became predators especially on those remote islands wherein large quantity of these species exist. They've been caught and sold for big money that's why advocates of this giant sea animal alarmed for its extinction.

           It is the whale shark (Rhincodon typus), Butanding for its local name. The species originated about 60 million years ago and can be found in the coastal areas in Africa, Mexico and mostly in Bicol Region, Cebu and Batangas here in the Philippines.

         Butanding travels across oceans usually close to the equator. They measure between 18 to 35 feet in length and weigh about 20 tons. They are easily recognized for their broad head and a random of white dots and lines along their backs. Their giant body projects its natural physical appearance. Their skin blooms in the blue ocean.

        In contrast to what their petrifying name seems to mean, these Butanding are not really dangerous living thing as not what we think. Butanding doesn't have the capability to bite and chew. They just easily suck in water with prey like plankton, shrimp, anchovy, small crabs and other small fishes. Their large and capacious mouth which can be up to 1.5 meters (4.9 ft) wide were lined with thousands of little teeth. These sharks have distinct spots in their skin that makes them unique in one another and are useful for counting populations. Butanding have two small eyes that are located towards the front of their flat head. Their body is majority grey with a white belly. Their tails have a larger upper than lower fin while the adult's tail becomes crescent in shape.

            The Philippine government declared the whale shark as an endangered species in 1998, together with the implementing of orders and coastal security. Moreover, these whale sharks improved the tourism campaign in the Philippines. There have been no cases of whale shark taking humans as prey otherwise fishermen hunt and plunder them as their source of income. Butanding can entertain people by their gentle not terrifying actions.   They just look scary but they are friendly and playful. We should realize their worth as a creature of God. Let's just think, for instance, whale sharks are like human too breathing to survive by means of their own. 

My Life Today and Tomorrow

  

           Every life has a dream. Every dream has a life; a life in which is a choice of the carrier. It is also a choice how to live together with dreams, a chance bounded by aspirations and experiences connected by past, present and future. Past is how we fought and survived, present is a continuous fighting and future is what we are fighting for. They say that time is the most playful element in this world, it slows down when you're waiting and it runs fast when you're happy. It is a bare fact that it's always wrong wasting time, as what stupid always does. Others say time is gold, we have to be strict in time. We have to live like we're dying. To live a happy life is everyone's big dream. We have to build a very strong foundation so that the success that we want will become a success of a lifetime. This is the mere difference between the kind of life I have today to the kind of life I really wanted.

            Today, the life I have is quite less reasonable. I want to live life someday with full of reason. More reasonable in a way that I have to wake up more early to earn money for my family. Today, it's okay for me to be stepped by others for I have no sources of being proud but when the time comes, I will never let anyone stepped me and my family because I might slap all the achievements that I have to the faces of those who dared so they better watch out.

             My life today is always in scarcity. I want to have life that is not worrying about my money, food and health together with the people I love. I want to live my life like a professional, educated and more mature one unlike today it's always a trial-and-error. I want to live life conveniently keeping distance to those bad and unnecessary things in this world as not as today, it's always an inappropriate and not suitable. Today, I can't say that I've got a happy family but I've always wanted  to have it someday. Lastly, I want to live my life doing things on my own, to live independently and to be more principled man; a man with a legacy to be given to my soon offspring.

             But do you know what's the best being me and my life today that I never want to change? It is the spiritual values and the other values that I acquired from learning. This is also the best thing I have inherited from my parents and to be inherited soon. The true family and real friends I have today is the same people I wanted together with me someday. Finally, I want to stay humble and genuine person as I can with the best of my luck.

            I'm a carrier of my own life. I'm a carrier of my own dream. I can see how complicated life is yet it's always beautiful. As long as God is with me, I know these dreams will do come true.
